The Little Bottle That Could

It all started when I ran out of peppercorns purchaed at Costco and was reluctant to throw out the plastic jar with a coppery lid it came with because I knew I could find a new use for it. I proceeded to remove the label and wash it out.
The jar after label was removed.
I had this silly play ring which i thought would look great onntop of the lid. I used pliers to remove the ring part.
I glued a flat button to the lid so I could glue the ring knob to the lid. I could not glue knov directly because it was not evenly smooth. I used 609 glue for the button and glue gun to glue the knob to this. Forgot to take picture of this step.
I then wrapped the jar with burlap ribbon i had and also used gingham ribbon on top of the burlap. I raided my button stash and found a pretty red button. I made a bow and glued the button in the middle. This step was done with my trusty glue gun. I cleaned the outside of the jar with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol and was ready to fill.
Here it is sitting empty!
Now it keeps my chocolate covered almonds! Everything was on hand and it entertained me this afternoon.
