The Stupendous Socktopus

Create a hilarious under sea socktopus buddy out of your kiddo’s outgrown tights in no time flat with my lightning quick, step by step tutorial:

Grab 4 funky pairs of outgrown munchkin tights and some bits to create a face.

Select one pair for the main body and then chop the legs off of the remaining tights.

Cut 6 holes in an even-ish pattern around the body area.

Decide which legs should go into which holes and create an awesome pattern mix!

Flip the body-tights inside out and pop the legs into the holes with right sides facing and the raw edges lined up.

Stitch them all together making sure that the top of each tentacle/leg remains open enough for stuffing.

Carefully turn everything right side out.

Add a face to center area of the main body tights.

Stuff every leg/tentacle and the head/body too!

Stitch the top of the head closed and add a cute embellishment if desired.

Present the snuggly huggly socktopus to its new owner & let the squeezing commence!
