Thermostat Cover

Tonya Mclaren
by Tonya Mclaren
I wanted to hide my thermostat, it really was a eyesore.
I made a very rustic wooden box. I then took some left over paint an watered it down. I painted it with one color an used a blow dryer to dry it. As I dried it I used the air to make ripples in the paint. I repeated this with all paint.
I then added used wine corks around the side.
I added some old skeleton keys to the front .
The eyesore is now gone.
Just a couple more things to add an my kitchen wall will be done.

Was thinking the same thing am positive you are right, If it bothered me that much maybe a trip to hardware store to see what options i could find. Maybe a cover that would blend or compliment your decor.
