I am using another Hometalker’s cute idea. But I thought I would show the steps I took. For yourself or a guest or about anyone, I think the rose will bring smiles to the day.

I'm also thinking of making a dish of these and adding a few drops of rose essential oil so I can leave them on display.
Step 1
I tore off a length of six toilet paper
squares. We use Ultra Soft tp of different brands. If I can find a single roll of colored tp I think I’ll get one just for the guest bathroom.
Step 2
I folded the whole length in half. I pressed it down in the fold to give a sharper edge.
Step 3
Then I folded the length again, so the width was then 1/4 of the original width.
Step 4
I put one end into a loose knot. I took one of the folded ends and “tied” it but without pulling it tight. I experimented with going over the loop then tucking the end in. I also tried going under the loop so that the point of the fold tucked from the top. I decided either way worked well.
Step 5
I rolled the rest of the length of tp around and around the first loop. I tried it loose, and I tried it tight, and decided I liked it tight better. I have not made paper flowers of any kind in several years, but I think this turned out nice.
Step 6
Last, of course, I set my rose on top of the toilet paper roll. I took a picture to show off my version. Thanks to the original poster. I should have noted your name when I took your idea.
