Trends From the Toronto Interior Design Show

What is new in home decor for 2014? This weekend I went to the Toronto Interior Design Show to find out.

Trend #1: Large scaled artwork that sits on the floor.
Trend #2: Grey and charcoal were hot colors at the show.
Ikea made a dramatic statement in this dressing room by clustering a group of light fixtures.
Trend #3: Bold light fixtures were everywhere at the show.
What do you think of this green? Can it really be back?

    To answer one question . . . if the green looks like it does on those chairs, I think I like it!

      @Em Smythe I thought that the green chairs nice and liked the display as a whole.The olive green just surprised me as a trendsetting color.

    History does tend to repeat itself in decorating! Look at all the "antiquing" with chalk paint people are doing now to their furniture. I loved it back then, but sorry to see it coming back! lol

      @Barbara R History does indeed repeat itself. Some things never come back though. Thank goodness. Just yesterday I remarked to my husband how much my own tastes have changed. Some of the country stuff I loved 20 years ago now makes me cringe.LOL!
