Reduce, reuse, recycle. I am all about going green and if that means free crafting supplies, I am all the more happy! Here is a great way to reuse some items you may have lying around the house and make them into a cute cork framed DIY dry erase board to help you get organized for the new year.
Gather your supplies. If you happen to have a perfectly pretty but unused frame around the house, then you won't need the sandpaper or paint. But if your old frame needs some TLC, you will want to paint it and pick a pretty color to match the room where you will use the memo board.

Begin by lightly sanding frame to rough up the finish, this will help paint and glue hold better making it DIY project that will last longer. Wipe all dust off thoroughly with a damp cloth. Remove glass and backing from frame, set aside. To spray your frame you can either lay it on newspaper outdoors or hang from a branch so you can access all angles. It dries well hanging also. Spray a light tack coat, allow to dry for 5 minutes, repeat with 1 to 2 more coats. Dry for 3-4 hours before continuing.
Once frame has completely dried attach corks with a generous amount of hot glue- not so much that it is oozing on your frame but to create a good bond so that they do not fall off with some handling- do this all the way around.
Trace the glass from your frame onto a pretty solid or very subtle pattern of scrapbook or wrapping paper and cut out. Replace glass in frame, insert paper and finally fasten in backing to frame.
Your cork memo DIY dry erase board is ready to use!    I hope you enjoy this DIY dry erase boards project.  It is such a great way to reuse old corks and old frames and  upcycle them to give them new life. You may also enjoy this heart wine cork craft:)

Great idea!! I’ve been wanting a lg dry erase board, but they can be expensive. And the design isn’t always what I’d put up in my kitchen. I’m doing this immediately!!
