I stumbled across an old picture at my local junk shop and picked it up for almost nothing. I wasn't interested in the picture, what I was after, was the frame. I upcycled this picture into a fantastic chalkboard photo wall display. There are 2 unique things about this photo frame. Firstly I used velcro sticky dots to secure the photos, so it's ridiculously easy to change the pictures around. Secondly as the photos are mounted on a chalkboard you can write fun tags and messages with chalk. *please note that this was a tired old print and not an orginal painting. If it was the orginal I would have been able to retire on the thousands if not millions I could have sold it for. :-)

& your photos of course.
Firstly I painted over the picture with chalkboard paint. Then I covered up the paint edges with masking tape and painted the frame blue.
I then layed my photos on the frame how I wanted them to display. I did this so I knew where to place my velcro sticky dots.
I placed one halve of the velcro dots on the frame for each photo and the other half on the back of the photo in the centre.
This photo wall display is in my entrance hallway. The family loves to look at the photos as they go in and out of the house and often write funny tags to some of the pictures.
Now that I have somewhere to display my photos and it's so easy to change them, I find that I'm getting them printed up more often. I'm about to print out and add our summer holiday pictures before they get lost on the computer.
