Update An Old Lamp

This was certainly a quick little since I was done with this project in under fifteen minutes.
Starting off I’ve had this lamp for almost five years now and it was just a basic little lamp.
I actually really liked how it was originally which is why I never thought of giving it a makeover.
First I spray painted the entire base of the lamp in this bright pop of Blue .

It needed two to three light coats to fully cover it.
When that was done I went in with my Liquid Gold Gilding and painted over the already existing design. For the lamp shade part I didn’t want to paint the shade nor did I want to change it so I went with these wood chips that I bought from Michaels.
The colors I chose were from Americana DecoArt one which was Baby Pink and the other was this beautiful Turquoise color. The rectangular chips got the turquoise treatment where as the circular shaped one got some baby pink love.
When the wood chips were dry it was just a matter of gluing each individually onto the lamp shade. Give it a day to fully dry.

And that was it !
