Do you like to use trays in your home decor? I use trays in the bathroom, on top of my ottoman to hold drinks, and on my side tables to hold the remote or cell phone. Today I am showing you how to update a basic tray to corral small items at your entryway, so you can stop searching for your wallet and keys every morning!
We had a beautiful teak tray with broken handles, so  I decided to add hardware on the sides to use as handles and make a faux leather inlay to give this tray new life!
Supplies:

Wooden Tray
(2) drawer pulls
Palm sander
Stain - I used Deco Art Chocolate
Faux Leather
Since the handles had broken off, I needed to sand the surface to make the edge smooth. I then applied a little stain along the edge to try to even out the color where I sanded the wood.
I drilled holes in the sides and attached the pulls using the hardware provided in the set. I created the monogram using my Cricut cutting machine. Once it was cut, I laid it in the tray and secured it with adhesive.
You have the perfect place to keep track of all your necessities, so you aren't searching for them in the morning.
