Use Vintage Doilies to Make a Banner

Need a quick Christmas decor - make a JOY banner. I used vintage doilies, felt and red burlap, and something to hand it with.
I cut the red burlap 10 inched wide by 24 inches long. You can adjust the size to fit your needs. Fray the edges.
Any doily will work and you will not damage it since you are only stitching the letters on and not gluing them.
Cut out your letters using red felt. Then stitch them to the doilies.
After the letters have been stitched onto the doilies, stitch them to the burlap.
I added a white wooden dowel to the top to hand it with and some ribbon. To keep the banner from sliding off the dowel, I glued vintage white buttons on the ends.
Hang your banner and enjoy. This could have been made using paper doilies and construction paper.
