Valentine's Day Dollar Store Votives

When my daughter was three, I made the rookie mistake of signing up for the class Valentine's Day party... I had to come up with a fun non-candy filled project for a class of preschoolers. This simple tissue paper votive was a perfect project for this age group and older!
These were a great preschool project to make and bring home for Valentine's Day!
It was inspired by these battery powered LED lights at the dollar store. 2 for $1.25.
Baby food jars would work also, but these plastic containers from my daughter's teacher were perfect.
Wanna know a trick about getting labels off of containers? Nail polish. Cleared right off!
Start with squares of tissue paper (red, pink and white) and Mod Podge them onto the container. For an added sparkle, sprinkle some red and pink glitter onto the container last.
Place the LED candles inside and done.
I used a hot glue gun to stick some candy hearts on some of these votives (not pictured). An idea for an added detail!
