Tough Love Frame
For this project we used more wood scraps and a saw chain. Fun fact: my uncle is a carpenter, so I have access to the best wood scraps! For this easy project, we made a frame to highlight the saw chain, that we no longer used, and had in the house laying around!
Materials Used:
Saw Chain
½” Plywood, 13 ½” x 14”
E6000 Glue
Wood Stain
¾” Wood Scraps for Trim
Clamps
Nail Gun (Not Pictured)
Step 1: We cut a plywood piece, 13 ½” x 14” for the back of the frame. Then, we cut two, of the ¾” wood scraps, 13 ¾”. The other two pieces we cut 15 ¾”.
Step 2: We stained the trim wood scraps with a mixture of Golden Oak and Espresso Stain.
Step 3: We glued the trim to the plywood. Then, we used the clamps to hold it in place, while it dried.
Step 4: To make the frame more secure, we also stapled the trim to the plywood, after we had already glued it.
Step 5: We shaped the saw chain into a heart, and glued it onto the plywood.
The finished project!
