Upcycle DIY Tray From Casserole Carrier & Wood

$5
1 Hour
Easy
When I bought this casserole carrier at the thrift store I wasn't really sure what it was. The cashier asked me what it was, too, and I told him, "I have no idea. I just like it." Here's the other supplies I used:
*casserole carrier *wood board from wine crate *glue gun *glue sticks *jute *scissors First I tied jute around the handles and tacked it down on the ends with the glue gun.
I added the board and pushed in the ends of the casserole carrier to make it tighter. It was still a little wobbly so I used hot glue to tack that down, too.
That’s it! Probably the easiest DIY project I’ve done in a while. The whole thing took about 30 minutes. Not even any drying time. Then I served cupcakes and tea in my library. Well… not really my library, it’s just a corner of our living room. More photos on the blog.

I am a tray fanatic and always buy mine from thrift store and upcycle to what I want or need for that moment! I buy so many crazy things that I couldn't possibly choose one! But I did get a 100% cashmere scarf for $3 and I think it was that famous plaid designer (think B and berry) needless to say my daughter quickly permanently borrowed it from me!
