A Wallpaper-less Patterned Wall

I'm loving all the wallpaper patterns that are on the market but am so leery of making the commitment to putting some on my walls. Days of stripping wallpaper past are still so fresh in my mind, I couldn't help but think....there must be another way!? Well there is, paint it!
I started off with a gray wall which is actually Rockport Gray by Benjamin Moore. I measured out my lines at 12" intervals and masked them off.
I spaced the arrowheads 16" apart on each line and then staggered the arrowheads on every second line to that they weren't completely uniform with the one next to it. Dusting off my high school math skills, I measured the arrowheads out so that they were 3" out on either side of my vertical line. I marked them off and then used scissors to cut where I had drawn my line.
Once I had everything taped off, it was time to bust out my top coat. I painted two coats of "Hotelware" from the Style at Home Collection for Beauti-Tone Paints. Once the 2nd coat was semi dry I peeled off my tape starting at the bottom and pulling towards the top.
It turned out and great and was exactly what I was going for. The best part is that when I tire of it, all I have to do is paint over it instead of having to peel anything off!

Head over to the blog for the full measurement rundown and give me your opinion on what I'm thinking of next for this wall!
