DIY JOY Sign

Our home has gone through a LOT of changes over the past year. The look, the vibe...it's all different now, which means I had to get a little creative with the Christmas decor. I had these red glittery letters that I used to hang in the dining room last year, but no longer had a use for, and a cheap sign my sister grabbed for me that was on clearance for next to nothing (she figured it'd make a good project someday - she was right!)...
The wheels started turning...I thought if I painted the sign white, and glued the letters on, it would be cute and festive...

But then I got a better idea! What if I made it a little different. What if I painted the sign grey, and the letters white?! It would look perfect in our family room.
And then ANOTHER idea hit me!

What if I make an O with some leftover berry garland instead?
I just looped a bit of jute around it, and taped it to the back. I also used heavy duty tape for the letters. They're so lightweight, it works fine.

Then, I just sanded it a bit, paying close attention to the corners, and that was it!
I'm loving my "new/old/free" Christmas decoration! :)
