Create A Gallery Wall In Any Space

There is this corner in my living and dining room that was just plain boring. I hadn't changed it since we moved in but thought a gallery wall would look perfect here and add some texture and dimension to this little corner wall. Generally speaking, when you think of a gallery wall, you think you need a huge blank wall in order to pull it off. That is so not true and I can't wait to show you how easy it is to create a gallery wall in a small space too!
I picked up some hooks to hang some throws on, a metal sign, a wood framed sign, and a wood word cutout all from Hobby Lobby. Everything was half off and cost me less than $40! Not only was this gallery wall super cheap, but it was so easy to do and I can't wait to share some great tips with you!
Tip 1: Lay it all out first.
Seriously, lay all your items on the ground. This is how you are going to configure your gallery wall before you go putting holes in the wall! Once you get your items where you'd like them, it's easy to hang them one by one and know exactly how your gallery wall is going to turn out.
Tip 2: Choose pieces you love.
This should be common sense, but you don't want pieces on your gallery wall just to fill it in. You should love each piece that you hang up.

Tip 3: Space doesn't matter.
Do you see how small my gallery wall is? It doesn't have to be huge and you don't have to have a big house to have one. You just need space to hold a few items of various sizes.
Tip 4: Use various size pieces.
This gives your gallery wall variety and doesn't look like you just hung random pieces on your wall that don't fit together. Using various sizes and textures will help everything seamlessly fit together.

I hope this inspired you to start your own gallery wall whether you're in a small apartment or large home. You can visit my blog for more tips & tricks for hanging a gallery wall!
