I wanted something natural for above my sons change table. I look for supplies all over the city, and this is what I put together.
I found these feathers at the dollar store, a whole pack for 1$
Small wood cookies I cut when I was an Early Childhood student.
Blue sparkles, liquid glue and a paint brush. I had these items all in my craft room!
Small screw eye hooks I found these at the dollar store for 2$
I added eye hooks to the wood cookies, then added some Fishermen's twine to the hooks.
I painted the tips of some of the feathers with liquid glue. And dipped them in my blue sparkles.
I used a safety pin to poke a hole big enough for the twine to fit through.
I live by the beach, so I will be hanging all my feathers and wood cookies from the drift wood .
For my middle piece I wanted to dress it up a bit so I added some beads.
its really coming together, I staggered my feathers and wood cookies. So it's not just a boring straight line.
I think it's cute!
My little boys should enjoy looking up at the feathers blowing around.
This was both easy and enjoyable to make! I even got to catch a episode of my favourite show while putting it all togethe!
