DIY Floating Shelf

2 Hours
Today we're creating a fun DIY Floating Shelf with some simple supplies that you probably already have on hand. It's going to be a perfect DIY that anyone can create, I especially love this project for nautical themed rooms. We think you're going to love it too. Are you ready to get started? Let's go!
We also have a DIY video above, feel free to watch exactly how we created this.
Grab your favorite Americana Decor Color Stain colors and let's get to the DIY!
First drill four holes in each corner of the wood, be sure to allow the rope to be able to fit through.
Paint your piece of wood with the Americana Decor Color Stain. You can also use a cloth for the staining process.
Cut your rope in four equal lengths with extra sharp scissors.
Tie a knot and thread through. Tie each of these to your circular hooks to secure onto the wall.
We hope that you got inspired to create your very own DIY Floating Shelf! We love how this turned out and think you could put many different spins on this DIY. Be sure to leave a comment with how you plan to make yours.

How did you hang it from the wall ?

I'd also like to see how you hung it from the ceiling/wall? I want to do one similar but it needs to hang from the ceiling. I am stumped as to what type of hook to use to hang it from the ceiling. Not sure but I think they are called toggle hooks and they are so blah.
