If you have any granny squares lying around, I have a great way for you to use them! While I haven't mastered my crochet skills yet, I have an Aunt who has and she gave me a pile of granny squares while downsizing. I turned one of them into a granny square wall hanging and then made another, and another, and another... They are so easy to make and I just love them!

These were the granny squares that I started with. You can make your own, find some at a thrift store or ask someone to make you one.

I used lots of different yarns for this project. This project starts out similar to this wall hanging... Start making tassels and poms poms with your yarn.

I weaved chunky chenille yarn through the granny square.

I started tying on tassels to the granny square. I started from the bottom and worked my way up.

I didn't have a plan for this wall hanging, I just went with the flow. You can place pieces over the wall hanging before tying them on to be sure that you like it.

Add as much or as little as you want. I love full, colorful wall hangings and this did not disappoint. When I was happy with my wall hanging, I stuck a dowel through the holes in the top.

I added some sparkly pom poms to some of my wall hangings with a hot glue gun. There are so many things you can add at this point... beads, flowers, charms, ribbons, etc.

This is a great way to use up your leftover yarn and create something beautiful for your home.
