I found a wallpaper online that I loved and I figured I could get the same look with a chalk line and a sharpie paint pen so I went for it in this bedroom. I love accent walls and pretty much have one in every room of my home. I’m kind of a more is more person you could say.

Wallpaper Inspo

Here’s the inspirational pic I found online and I figured it couldn’t be too hard.

Once I made vertical chalk lines down the wall 8” apart so they would be somewhat evenly spaced I traced over those with my sharpie water based paint pen. I just eyeballed the spacing for my diagonal angled lines as I did want an organic look like the wallpaper. And it was easier than measuring. Ha!

And here’s the finished look!

After I was done with the lines I went back and erased all the blue chalk lines.

It looks similar to the wallpaper and one sharpie paint pen and an hour of work was well worth it. Everyone thinks it’s wallpaper!

I'd have to use a ruler or it would look like one of my grandkids did it. Nice idea, I just might try this
