I have invented a new technique to add luster, sparkle and bling to the basic acrylic paint pouring. Here is what I have created.
I mixed the floetrol, silicone and small parts water to the acrylics I will use. I cut out the bottom of a pop bottle, and cut four slits. My grand daughter just finished a MICHIGAN paint pour on her project. I used some of her left over colors as well.

My canvas was coated with black gesso first. Then, I cut out a cardboard butterfly body. Adhered it to the canvas. I cut out feelers-adhered it to the canvas. I then placed the bottom of the bottle, and began pouring my acrylics. Slowly into four sections. It covered the body and feelers. Once I finished my pour-I allowed the paint to flow naturally.
The paint continued to flow to the sides of the canvas. I left it alone.

Two days later, I used a concoction I created of black paint and glue mixture to cover the body and feelers in black. This allows the gems, rhinestones and crystals to adhere.
And now, my final design. I decided to add all crystals around the outline of the body, then fuschia, light pink, light blue, black and more rhinestones. The feelers are in all citrine colored stones. The paint has gold metallic, pinks, purples, cream, black, hints of blue. This piece is a beauty in person. The glue used to adhere the gems was glossy accents.
After the gems all set up (another day) I clear coated with acrylic spray first. Allow another 24 hours to cure.
Close up n 4/7/18 I also cleaned up the backside with black paint.
Pictures and video does not do this piece of art justice. I wish I was a photographer.
On 4/8/18, five days later, I add a clear coat of thin polyurethane, allowed it to set out in the morning sunshine. Took final photos and made a video. Thank you for allowing me to express my art creativity on here. Watch my video, subscribe to my channel, and see the first one I made-the Majestic Peacock.
Bless to all people who create and make the world a beautiful place!!!
