DIY Nursery Bookshelves

I was looking for a fun and easy way to create some bookshelves in our nursery, so I decided to use some wooden crates.
I love wooden crates because you can find them at any craft store and they're just so versatile!
I bought two crates and chose to paint the inside of each one a different color using leftover paint I had from previous projects. This was an easy way to add some color to our gender neutral nursery.
I then painted the outside white using both a roller brush and a foam brush. I chose not to tape off the slats just because it would've been so time consuming. For me, it was easier just to do touch-ups.
To hang the crates on the wall, I just drilled two anchor screws through the back. I then styled the shelves with children's books and toys.
Now we have a cute little reading nook to enjoy with our little one on the way!
