DIY Tiny Hand Painted Canvas Home Signs
I found the cutest little canvases at Target this week and they were on sale! They ended up to be only $1 each! They are hand painted and couldn't be cuter as a little accent in a tiered tray or around the house.
- 4"x4" tiny canvases
- rebar wire
- wooden beads
- hot glue
- sharpie marker
- gingham ribbon
I began with these inexpensive supplies.
Most of these supplies I already had around my house but you can find them on Amazon or at the dollar store.
First, I drilled holes in the top of my canvas to secure the wire.
I placed a wooden bead on each end of the wire and stuck it into the hole I drilled with a drop of hot glue.
The hot glue holds the bead in place and the wire in the hole.
After that easy step was the design.
I drew a very light line across the center of my canvas using pencil to find the center.
Using a Sharpie marker I drew the word I wanted across the line.
When the Sharpie was very dry, I erased the pencil line.
If you're not good at hand lettering, you can either use a rub on transfer or a stencil to create the words.
You can also paint the canvas, or decoupage a design onto the tiny canvas.
This would be cute with a red background for Valentine's Day too!
These little cuties are available on the Homeroad Etsy Shop this month.
