Easy & Affordable DIY Feather Duster Wall Art
Here is my super affordable and *really* easy feather duster wall art. This technique is not new, but it is a really easy and cost effective way to make some large art to fill a big empty wall in your home. This was especially good for us because we lived in an apartment where we weren't allowed to paint.
To make one like it, just pick up a blank canvas, an assortment of paints, and a feather duster. I used blues and silvers.
Just dip your feather duster into your paint and plop/drag the duster around the canvas. This is a very forgiving process. Here is our bare before wall...
And after I finished and hung the photo! Note: We have this hung a bit high because we are very tall and like to sit propped up in bed to read. :)

Just wanted to say. My mother did this on her bedroom in lavender in 1982.

What kind of feather duster was it pls?
Brittany, you did a fabulous job on this feather duster painting. I remember back in the 70s my mom did me & my sisters bedroom walls using the same technique, she also did our bathroom & a kitchen wall yeah she may have gotten a little carried away with it but once some of her friends seen it they were paying her to do a room or two in there homes . I definitely like this idea on a canvas & I will be doing this for my blank bedroom wall using a blank canvas as well. Could you tell me what size canvas you used? Thanks for the memories and inspiring me to.
Do you have to have several dusters?? I imagine the feathers get pretty saturated..???
