My 2nd entry for the Hometalk HQ contest is a faux mini pallet
I started with jumbo craft sticks and painted them in a variety of mixed acrylic colors. I then cut the sticks with regular scissors and laid them out in the pattern I wanted them to be in on the 5 x 7 canvas panel and hot glued them down.
Next, I took a small piece of raffia around the pallet lengthwise and hot glued it to the back and cut a piece of blue felt and hot glued it around the back to neaten it up, and hot glued a can pop top onto the felt to use as a hanger.
Using 2 different punches and some craft paper in colors matching the pallet, I made a paper flower and hot glued it to the pallet. Since the back side of the paper was white, I smudged some Tim Holtz distress ink to blend in the white.
Enjoyed the project?
