I bought this sign with hooks and thought why not make it say something.

It is sold at Hobby Lobby currently 70% off. A perfect canvas for a makeover.

I used my Cricut machine and cut the letters on vinyl.

I found the sweet heart design and used it as the “O” in Home.

Make sure to have transfer tape.

Details of the heart.

Make sure you choose the size of letters to fit in the open space.

Then transfer the letter onto the transfer tape. Tile: Peel and stick Glad wrap works too.

Line it up. This is where I made a little mistake and should of went in an inch more.

No, the purple will not be staying. It just lets you see it all transferred on to the board.

I’m using waverly chalk paint and a skinny brush. I went in one direction with my strokes. Making sure to only use one coat.

I quickly peeled off the vinyl with the Cricut tool with the pointy tip.

Then I took a piece of 220 grit sandpaper to lightly give it a rustic look.

I’m liking the rough grain look.

Here is the sign all finished. I am truly happy with the end results. It will look great in a farmhouse styled room. Laundry room would be perfect as well as the entry doorway.

Thank you for looking at my creations.
