Learn how to make a vintage framed map. Full tutorial on how to distress it, make it look old and how to frame it for cheap.

I used this beautiful wine map that we had for a long time and just didn't know where to hang it. (You'll have the details on where we both it on the blog!) It was stored in the tube for so long that when I took it out, it ripped!!

So, I decided to make it look vintage used coffee and a couple of special tricks to give it a vintage look icon

Once it was dried, I used Mod Podge to glue the map to a masonite sheet.

I then stained some 1x2 pine moulding and used them to frame the map. What do you think? Isn't it awesome? If you would like to have more details, head over to the blog by following the link at the bottom

I then stained some 1x2 pine moulding and used them to frame the map. In order to be able to nail the mouldings, I used some 1x3 leftovers and screwed them into the masonite. You can also see that I use a wire and eyelet screws to be able to hang the frame.
