How To Make A Wall Mounted Key Holder - Get organized with this wall mounted key holder! Never forget your keys, wallet or phone with this terrific reminder and organizer.

Gone are the days of getting out of the house without your things when you make this wall mounted key holder! The barn wood is stunning and is perfect for rustic or farmhouse style decor.

Just like most of my other crafts, this wall mounted key holder would make an awesome gift for friends or family.

Not to mention, if you like to make things to sell, this key hanger is inexpensive to make so you should be able to make a decent profit too.

With just a few supplies you have the solution to never losing your keys at home again.

Place your vinyl in place onto the plank. You can optionally make your own, stencils.

Using a stencil paint brush paint inside the stencil.

Remove the stencil immediately do not allow to dry first.

Measure where you want your hooks to go, you want them to be evenly spaced. Drill a small hole and screw in the hooks.

Using command strips, I like the ones for photo frames, you want it to be sturdy enough to hold when keys are hanging.

While this is a very cute idea, and great for holding something like coffee mugs, dog leashes, or other items, if you are going to use it to hang keys, I would suggest you hang it inside a closet or a cabinet door, instead of next to the front or back door. If someone were to break into your home, that person has immediate access to all of your keys. They can open your shed, your detached garage, or whatever else you have keys for. They will have keys to any vehicles at your house. I had a friend who hung all her family's sets of keys by the side door to the garage. Her home was broken into while the family was on vacation. The burglars made a much larger haul than ever expected, because they had access to the garage and the family's pick-up truck. They loaded up the truck and stole that also. Just a word to the wise.
