DIY Baby Mobile

My sister and her husband will be welcoming their first baby soon. I wanted to make them something special for the nursery that would incorporate their style and be appropriate for a boy or girl - since they don't know the gender!
This was a very simple, inexpensive project. The only supplies needed were the elephants (see below), yarn, thread and an embroidery hoop.
World Market sells multi-colored elephants on a beaded string for $7. Beads aren't ideal for babies, so I cut the string that attached the elephants and discarded the beads.
To attach the elephants to the embroidery hoop, I used an embroidery needle to tie a knot on the elephants back.
The remainder of the string was tied to the hoop to suspend the elephant.
