Here I am working on a gallery wall and I will be telling you different things you can put inside the frames! This how-to focuses on the planning stages of the gallery wall.

Final lay out design

Here's our final design up on the wall in our dining room!

Start in Power Point

Here's where I take any image of a framed photo and bring it into power point. This allows me to try out different lay outs and see what kind of space I need to fill!

Get Inspired!

You can also find websites that sell gallery walls together, or you can use them for inspiration.

Lay out your design

After I ordered my frames, I laid them out on the table in the design I had planned. Make changes as needed! Don't worry if you end up switching things. We then held the two center frames up on the wall to see where to begin.

Find the Center

Once I find the center I will hang that frame up first. Then each frame can just be placed approximately one or two inches away from that one in the design I have laid out on the table.

Fill the Frames

You can use ANYTHING!! Example, here is a receipt that some artwork came with and the other side was this cute design so I put it in the frame.

You can use WALL PAPER, WRAPPING PAPER, DIY ART, RECEIPTS, THRIFTED ART, GIFT BAGS, FABRIC... etc. (I have two other hometalk projects on quick DIY art)

SIZES I USED

Here are the exact frames I purchased for my design in case you want to have the same design.

FINAL!!

Here are the final images (the prints are just photoshopped in for now, but they have been ordered!! just in case they look weird to you!)
