Best way to update paneling On walls?
I would love to update my walls but don’t like the idea of ripping it all out to do Sheetrock . Is there something else to update them?

You can wall paper over paneling, by first applying a heavy duty liner. That way the lines of the panels wont show. An easy way to change is to clean well and paint; this would change them, but you would still see the lines unless you used a liner made for this purpose.
Hello Dha,. You can paint you paneling, you can also cover it with play wood or something a little thicker. No need to rip it out. We bought 12x12 tiles and covered our paneling. Maybe you'll like this idea.
Thank-you great ideas 💡
PAINT! PAINT! PAINT!
Make sure the paneling is clean and dry. Prime with a good stain blocking primer like Zinsser 123 or BIN. Then paint like painting regular walls. If the paneling has grooves you can fill them with non shrink drywall patching compound. Just put on enough to fill the grooves. Let it dry overnight. Next day use a damp sponge to smooth the patch. Then prime and paint.
