Junction boxes have to be accessible . My decorating just isn’t doing it for me.
How can I cover this electrical eyesore?

I had my electrical redone in my home and am left with this eyesore because of code laws. I need ideas to hide it !!
All I can think to do is hang a section of drapes from the ceiling to floor.
Paint same color as walls so it doesn't stand out.
Would you be allowed to build a box with a frame around it over it?

you could surround it with storage cubbies it make the protusion of the box from the wall less noticable.

cover it with a hinged box picture frame or art that can be pulled ope n when you need access and closed and concealed when you dont.

You need to put a dry wall patch on the upper hole. For the panel box, I would get used upper kitchen cabinets and place over it. Do a floor to ceiling cabinet (by stacking) or a pantry style. The cabinet doors will give you access to the box, and you will gain some storage. Hope this helps.
