I have Wayne’s coating panels around my living room and hallway! Can you paint them or how to get rid of them?

Yes, you can paint wainscoting or just remove it. It will leave damage to the wall if you take it down, so be prepared for some patchwork.

Wanda....I agree with grandmom but painting should work for you. I would prime first then paint..if you find some rough spots sand and use wood filler if needed but sometimes the dents and dings are our memories so we just leave them! Good luck!

You can certainly paint them! I'm wondering if you remove them, if you'll have a lot of drywal to repair as a result.

  • You can definitely paint it. You can definitely remove it too. Examine it carefully, try pulling some off the wall to see if they were glued or nailed. If nailed, it'll be easier than glued. Glued will come off but will damage the walls so be prepared for that.
