If you're asking if you need to use the molding in a corner where the shiplap meets the wall or another shiplap wall to cover the edges of the wood, I would say no you don't have to do that. It's used to make it look more finished and make the installation look clean. It won't make a difference in holding the boards up, as long as they're installed correctly. Wishing you the best!
