How do I finish concrete walls in basement?
ok so a few years back I opened up my kitchen in the basement where I live and didnt get to finish. I have it covered up w a chinese wall and curtains. It looks ok for now but I really want to finish the walls and make or put in a diner style dinner table for the room. So I have seen different inspiring projects but 1 stood out to me the most which I would like to do, if I could. Its this one I attached a pic of. The others are my kitchen walls. Is it possible to do on the concrete?

You can apply molding as in your picture directly to concrete if it smooth enough with contact cement (comes in tube like caulk). Then just paint it the way you want.
Here is a link. I would caution drywalling although I have seen this done. The reason that I see this as a problem is because if you do have moisture problems you may not know it until you have a serious mold problem between the concrete and drywall. I was looking to buy a house and found this during the inspection. I didn’t buy the house so you may want to sell you house some day and not have to deal with that. Ugh
anyway, maybe this will help you.

Home Depot has concrete/stucco paint, But, it's for Exterior use. Take a look at Elastomeric type paints or DryLock. Both can be tinted, and serve as a moisture barrier. I've used both... Elastomeric over Drylock in my basement.
cool thanks ..
