How do I remove wall heaters?
My home was built in the early '80s and has a few electric wall heaters around. I have central HVAC now so these are just eyesores. How do I best remove them and what do I do with the hole in the drywall?

If you don't feel confident patching the drywall yourself, call in the pros and have them do it for you. Walls will need to be repainted too.
If you have them in the bathroom, save them for one season, they are a luxury in winter.
Ok so if it was me I would run a post on let go or offer up. If you just want it gone. Free wall heaters from the 80's free you pull it and add pictures. Now depending on where they are located ( I have an idea there in my mom's house) Frame it in and I would do open shelves for nick nacks. Frame in the other one go to Lowes and in the custom cabinets, they have these metal sheets with different colors and different designs on them. I would use that on the back of the wall do floating shelves and have a mini library, or you can always just drywall it.
Do you have any construction experience? Are they full size ones? Patching drywall & actually removing unit will be the easy part, wiring in walls not so much.Turn off electric at main panel start unscrewing all screws holding it in place pull it out from wall disconnect wiring cap it off seperately.Probably best to (maybe have someone) remove the wiring in the wall/from breaker box so you do not have live/hot wires. You may be able to reuse existing wiring by adding wall plug for use. Then patch wall here's video on basic drywall repair, but you may need to add additional stud pieces depending on how lrg hole is(don't know what size the heaters were)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQxGpcGGBk0 one more on drywalling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yxyHTZBneQ here's additional info. on wiring in walls(safety)https://www.diychatroom.com/f18/removing-electric-wall-heaters-12601/
I think you have had some good advice as how to remove. Depending on their location you might be able to fill the void with some wall niche shelving.
Thanks, everyone!
