How about a vase of flowers? Use it for a bookshelf?

Hello Marie! Is your space deep enough to put in some shelves. Might be a nice place to display pictures, books, and decor items.

    Sliding barn door?

Yeah, I was thinking sliding barn door, the weird tv hole is about 48’ wide, 3’ high, 3 ‘ deep.... right in the center of the wall. Pictures or suggestions are welcome! It’s a very deep area to put shelves. Trying to avoid having it be a place to store clutter!

What is on the other side of the wall? Will that space benefit from an additional 3' x 4' x 3'? If so I would close it up on the bedroom side and pull it out. You will get close to 36 cubic feet of space.
