How to remove or cover over sand paint in the hallway?
the hallway upstairs has sand paint on it how do you remove it? is there a way to cover over it ? I imagine water and a lot of scraping any thoughts thank you

I'm unsure what sand paint is, unless it a textured paint. In my experience, I had to sand before priming and painting to get rid of the textured look and feel.
Hi Mac, I'm assuming sand paint has some kind of rough texture? If so, then you're best bet would be to sand it down and apply a primer before painting over it.
I agree with the other two, sand it and it would take care of your problem.

I think you will be sanding for a long time to get the texture off. I would use stripper and scrape it off. The alternative would be to skim coat the walls with joint compound.
You can have a sheetrock company come in and float drywall mud over it to smooth it out.
