Please...I need help! How can I keep walls warm for winter?
There are 3 large outside walls in my apartment made of cinder blocks. They stay cold in the winter and Rob me of heat, which is all electric. I want to make something that covers the walls to keep the heat in. Also, I'm not allowed to cover the windows with plastic either, so I need something that will trap the heat there also.
Thanks for any suggestions that will keep me toasty this winter.

Try hanging quilts/rugs/tapestry on the walls and densely woven fabric for curtains.
Hi Brooks. Fabric and batting will be the way to go. The picture below shows a wall behind a bed made of fabric rectangles. You can use command strips to hang. Then when you're ready to move, they'll be simple to take down. On the windows do the same thing. If money's tight, use drop cloths, plain or dye, and stuff with newspaper. News print is very warm when layered. Good luck.
You can apply bubble wrap using spray water.
Even though the room air temperature might be high enough for comfort, your body is radiating heat to the uninsulated cinder blocks which in turn quickly conducts that heat outside, so it stays cold. An option that could help, is to cover the inside of the cinder block wall to block the radiant heat lossby hanging opaque drapes a couple of inches away fro the wall cover the inside of the brick wall to block the radiant heat loss to it. The drapes stay fairly warm because the heated room air is circulating around them. Therefore, your body won't be radiating heat directly to the cold wall, but to the warmer drapes instead.
