Print off your favorite quote, and transfer it onto wood for a versatile piece of wall art that doubles as a great gift idea!

If you like this quote, I have a free printout in the original blog post.

Gather your supplies together.

You can use any wooden surface. This is a cheapie one from the craft store and is super light weight.

If your wood feels really rough and scratchy, you should sand it first.

Print your quote as a mirror image using a laser printer or copy machine. An ink jet printer won't work, so save yourself the ink and the headache.

Trim around the text, discarding the paper scraps.

Tape it face-down to the front of the wooden shape.

Color all over the back of the printout with the blender pen. Immediately use a credit card or old gift card to rub all over the back of the printout.

Gently peel away the paper. You should see the text on the wood now.

Use acrylic paint to paint a border around the text. You could also add accents to the quote with acrylic paint.

Other ideas: glitter, felt flowers, buttons, etc. Just hot glue them on!
