Re-purposing the Ends Cut Off Vertical Blinds

One day I was in Home Depot purchasing mini blinds for our fifth wheel trailer. The clerk cutting them to size handed me a handful of the end cuts off vertical blinds and said, “Here you can have these, they make great scrapers”. So I took them and as I sat looking at them I wondered what else could be done with these. So since I am recovering from surgery and have nothing else to do I started making things with them. I am not sure if this is a “pass” or “fail” at this point but they were free so why not experiment with them. I first grabbed my scissors and cut one into the shape of a heart. Then I couldn’t stop there so I added a sticker and beads.
The next piece I cut into a scallop shape and took my office hole punch and punched holes in it. Maybe a plant marker? If these blinds can take the heat in the windows for years, maybe they would last outside for awhile. They could be also cut into strips with one pointed end to make plant markers.
Then how about a banner. Grabbed some dollar store letters, paper, and odds and ends and now I have a Valentine’s Day banner.
