Need some new to you gear to spruce up your walls? Here’s how to create your own really easy upcycled thrift shop art and add your one-of-a-kind flair to your decor:
Thrift a bit of art, raid your stash for a bunch of decorative bits and grab your glue gun.
I loved the sentiment of this $0.10 print-on-wood but not the chipped paint (or the weird velcro strips on the back). I wanted a kitchy look so I snagged a few of my hoarded Mardi Gras beads.
I snipped the string between 2 beads on a necklace to make it into one long strand and stuck around the edge of the wooden print.
And continued adding more necklaces.
Et voila! Nearly instant kitschy art!
My quirky beaded art looks fab on my studio collage wall, it’s slowly but surely coming along but definitely needs loads more upcycled kitsch to finish it off!
