Hello Hometalk Friends!

This simple project combines two thrift store finds to create unique repurposed art in two easy steps--easily completed in less than 15 minutes…

Here’s what you’ll need:

*Canvas with blank backing

*Sheet music or magazine cover that fits inside the canvas

*Picture hanger

*Double-sided tape

I was instantly drawn to the lovely border of this vintage piano music cover. You can use something similar or any pretty printable that fits your canvas.

First: Attach a picture hanger to the right side of the canvas. (The sheet music will be placed inside the BACK of the canvas.) I frequently come across discarded art canvases like this one while thrifting. Just make sure the size of the canvas you select frames the sheet music nicely.  If you need a canvas, you can look here!

Next: Flip the canvas over, and use double-sided tape to attach the sheet music inside the frame. Look here for double-sided tape! Need double-sided tape? Look here!

That’s all there is to it! Now it’s ready to hang or display on your mantel! You can use the same technique to create art from vintage calendars or loose magazine covers–there are so many possibilities!
