After two tries already...I've decided to change my one kitchen wall once again.
This is what the wall looked like after the first try. We both really liked the red wall, but it made the whole kitchen a bit dark...
...so we decided to change the colour to a light grey. It really brightened up the whole room. It took a while to get used to it, because we've had the red wall for a while.
So why change it again? Because this is our food making spot. Here we cut meat and vegetables, bake bread, make pasta, etc. etc.

Thant was exactly the problem. The wall got splattered with all kinds of sauces and vegetable juice - and even small dots of fat from cutting cooked meat there.
The wall couldn't be washed anymore after a while, so we decided to do something about that too.
We cut one huge tile in two to fit the width of the wall and fixed it to the wall with a tile fix.
For the mosaic tiles I've used Dala's Gel Medium (again), as it is much lighter and this medium is much easier to work with on the small tiles.

Then it was the grout's turn. I've used dove grey grout here.
And this is the finished product. I still want to make the little keys (for decorating purposes) on the wall a little bit darker in order to see them better.

Now we just clean the wall after a food session! Hopefully this is it guys...until the next itch - or splatter!
