I love a good gallery wall full of random frames and objects. But there's just something about a symmetrical gallery wall of frames that is truly stunning! Instead of spending lots of money on a large oversized piece of art, you can find affordable frames and make an impact hanging them all together.

To see the full step-by-step, check out this blog post.
This blank wall was just begging for a bit of art. So I gathered up 9 frames that I loved...thin black frames with thick white mats. The perfect classic look!
When you're hanging a symmetrical gallery wall, you need everything to line up perfectly...both vertically and horizontally. So it's important to go in with a plan. I used painter's tape to visualize the large grid of frames and I highly suggest you tape things out before you put any nails in your walls.
I also used picture hanging wire on the back of the frame. This made it a lot easier to get each frame lined up. If it was too low or too high, I could simply adjust the wire instead of making another hole in the wall.
Here's how it looked after hanging all 9 frames! A gorgeous statement in this formerly plain and boring hallway.
