Transform an Old Picture Into Fancy Chalkboard With Paint and Decals

See how an old picture hiding in my basement was transformed into a beautiful chalkboard using only chalkboard paint and a dollar store decal. This fancy chalkboard is pretty enough to hang in any room in your home.
I started with the old picture, cleaned it up and taped it off to protect the silver frame from the paint. There was nothing wrong with the glass or the frame, which is silver leaf. The picture just did not fit my decor any longer.
The chalkboard paint was applied directly on the glass...no primer was used.
The paint was applied in several coats and let dry for at least 4 hours between coats. i painted this over 2 days. See all of the details and more photos at mustlovehome.com.
