Upcycled Menu Board

Now that we are in the busy schedule of the school year and activities, it is harder to stay organized and get dinner on the table. I made a menu board by upcycling a few pieces that is going to make my meal planning and grocery shopping that much easier.
It all started with some teakwood coasters I got on clearance at TJ Maxx.
Then, I used some frame pieces and thin plywood to make the board.
I painted the plywood with chalkboard paint and painted the frame a fun, teal color.
I adhered the coasters to the board and used a paint marker to write the days of the week on them
Now, the entire family can help plan meals and I know exactly what I am getting at the grocery store each week. You can see more details on my blog post here: http://www.mycreativedays.com/diy-menu-board/

OMG. Maidrites! I couldn't wait to comment on this. We grew up on the Illinois/Iowa border and Maidrites were a staple in our diet. They are unknown outside of the Midwest. My first thought when I saw that menu was...Where is the person who wrote this post from? Thanks for the smile!
