Where's the Clock?
So check this out! I ordered some stuff online a couple months ago and received a quartz clock movement by mistake.
This is a lemons to lemonade project!
Wait a minute...I don't really like lemonade.
Let's throw some whiskey in there.
Yikes, needs some sugar. Throw some simple syrup in there, toss in a couple ice cubes and garnish with orange peel.
This is a lemons to whiskey sour project.
Some of you might ask:
-Why paint the clock the same color as the wall?
-Why did you hang the clock above that magnificent window?
-How much simple syrup am I supposed to add to this whiskey sour?
Because:
-Art
-Looks awesome
-Recipe:
2 ounces (4 tablespoons) whiskey
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) fresh lemon juice
¾ ounce (1 ½ tablespoons) simple syrup
Garnish: Orange peel and a cocktail cherry
Ice, for serving
*You can substitute the simple syrup for maple syrup.
This is the clock movement.
It came with super long clock hands.
What..is this the orangutan movement or something? (ba-dum-tsss)
I used scrap wood to build a box to house the movement. The clock blending into the wall was totally intentional.
I made a hole for the clock shaft and screwed the movement on, inside the box.
Are you drinking whiskey sours rights now?
I primed the wood and clock hands and painted them the same color as the wall.

I don't even know.
I think I can see it.
Yeah, I am totally looking at something.

I'm a fan of strawberry lemonade, no whiskey. My Middle School students are non-plussed with the analog clock in the classroom. Cannot IMAGINE how they would react to yours! Great post👍.
