I have always wanted to have a bench in our dining room. Then while taking my morning wall I found a bench in the trash and the magic happened.

This bench and I needed each other.

This is where my bench resided when I found it.

cut plywood

Once I insured the bench was solid, I headed to the store to purchase plywood and have my board cut. I usually have several pieces cut for multiple DIYs. Never waste a cut. Think ahead!

cut board and painted bench

At home I rounded the corners of the board with my sander. They only do straight cuts at the store.

3" foam

I decided to purchase 3" foam for the bench. It is just so comfortable to sit on.

Using inexpensive fabric I made each of my panels. You can see the actual steps in the video.   To add a touch of class I had two of the panels monogrammed. And I love a monogram.

I love this project and I hope you do as well.  I'd love to hear your feedback.  Cathryn
