This vanity bench was looking somewhat shabby and not being used. I needed a table for my front porch. Why just let something sit around and not be used? My saying is "Everything Old is New Again". With a little bit of sanding, painting, and creative art I created something old into something new. This project literally cost me $0.00 . I had everything I needed.
Here is the old look that really needed a bit of a boost.
And another view of the old look before I got to work on it.
It sure was ready for some new coats of paint! (and sanding and distressing!)
My next step was to sand, paint, and distress the bench. After the painting and distressing I, free handed a flower design. I measured the top dimensions to find the center and began a pencil sketch from the center point.
Using acrylic paints I had on hand, I painted my design.
After completing my flower design I sealed the table with a high gloss polyurethane. Simple enough, and I love the outcome. Hope you like it too!
